December 22 at FCS
Mr. Marcus will be sharing a Christmas message with the students. Following chapel, we will have a free Christmas Lunch for all the students. • Potato Soup
• Hot Ham & Cheese Sandwich
• Fruit Salad
• Cupcake

Students will be dismissed immediately after the meal for Christmas vacation. Buses will provide transportation. School will resume on Tuesday, January 3.

“Penny” Drive
This year we would like to again provide an opportunity for the students to learn about giving and blessing others. We are encouraging all the students to collect “pennies” (or nickels, dimes, and quarters) and bring them in by Thursday, December 22. We will be giving all money received to BLESS.

BLESS is a non-profit outreach of ACE ministries. The BLESS program is active in reaching out to indigent and underprivileged children in countries around the world, such as the Philippines and Africa. BLESS Centers teach children reading and basic math skills but, most importantly, introduce them to Jesus Christ through God’s Word.

Many children and families are being impacted as a result of people willing to give of their time and resources to the Lord. BLESS is a great opportunity to encourage students to become involved in world missions.

Just $20 will be enough to give one child the chance to read, write, and learn about Jesus. For $200, a group of 10 children will be able to complete the program in a BLESS Center. This new BLESS Center may reach 10 children every 14 weeks!

Staff Feature
Hi! My name is Miss Zimmerman. I’m in my second year being a monitor in LC4. I also help as a floater in the elementary classrooms. I’ve really enjoyed being here at Fairview, but time keeps moving. On Thanksgiving weekend, my boyfriend proposed, and I gave him a shocked look and an excited YES! So wedding bells are ringing for the month of March. I’m leaving school when Christmas vacation begins. After we get married, I’m planning to move to New York where he lives. I’ve learned a lot of things here at school, and I will definitely miss everyone!

Thank You
• for attending Parent-Teacher Conferences
• for making the fund-raiser breakfast a success
• for helping with the Thanksgiving meal
• for selling pizzas

Show Our Appreciation
If you would like to show your appreciation to Bro. and Mrs. Fox this Christmas, you may do so by bringing in food for their freezer or pantry. Items may be brought to the office. We will give the food to them on Thursday, December 22.

Health Room Emergency Cards
This is a reminder to those who have not yet returned the health room emergency cards for your children. Please take time to fill them out and send them with your child to the school office. These forms contain important information that we need when your child is sick or has an emergency.

Ink Cartridges
Keep sending your ink and toner cartridges to the office. We earn $2.00 per cartridge. This is a tremendous help in buying school supplies.

The True Meaning Of Christmas
Jesus Christ was born this day
So many years before
He came a servant to the lost
Though he was Lord of Lords

We celebrate this joyous time
Reflecting on His birth
Not born in a mansion, but a stable
As if He had no worth

He came so He could identify
With the human heart of man
And gave His life as a sacrifice
Offering a better plan

A plan that reconciles us back
To our loving Father God
Bringing hope and redemption from
Sins ruling iron rod

For this is the only reason that we
Should celebrate this day
To become focused on anything else
Would take the meaning away

So let’s arise with joy in our hearts
And share it with everyone
The meaning of Christmas will always be
The birth of Jesus – God’s Son
