Regional Student Convention
The Mid-Atlantic Student Convention will be held April 16-20 at the Tuscarora Conference Center. Remember to pray for the students as they participate in the different events.

Stanford Achievement Testing
On April 24 & 25, we will be taking the Stanford Achievement Tests. This year we will be testing grades 2 through 11. This is the first year 4th grade will be tested. The Stanford test is a comprehensive test that indicates how well your child is doing in school. Be looking for your child’s results in your September newsletter. The costs for these tests will be added to the May billing.
 Report Cards
It is hard to believe we have already reached the end of the 3rd quarter. Enclosed you will find your child’s report card. Please take the time to note how your child is doing. Remember to bless and encourage him/her.

Staff Feature
Hello, my name is Pamela Witmer, and I teach 2nd and 3rd grade in Learning Center 2. This is my 5th year at FCS. I did some teaching years ago after I got out of school, and then I worked as a nurse aide for a number of years. I definitely prefer teaching above being a nurse aide. I enjoy learning new things, though teaching school keeps me very busy, and I don’t find time to do all the reading I’d like to do. Teaching at FCS has been very much a learning and growing experience. 2nd and 3rd grade is a great age to teach. One thing I’ve been focusing more on this year is helping the students learn their basic math facts by giving them timed drills almost every day. I’m thinking of taking some classes this summer related to teaching math and music. It’s amazing has fast the end of the year is approaching, but I will be glad to have summer vacation.
