Re-enrollment
The time to re-enroll students at FCS is fast approaching. Re-enrollment forms will be sent home at the end of January. We will need the forms returned as soon as possible. You will need to be current with your balance to re-enroll.

Please call the office if you have a child entering Kindergarten next fall. We would like this information by January 15.

School Delays and Closings
Winter weather has arrived. We would like to remind you that you can find out if there is a delay or school closing on WDAC (94.5 FM) or WEEU (830 AM). You can also log on to wfmz.com and click on the school closings link. We will also be sending out a message around 6:00am from One Call Now.

Basketball Home Games
Everyone is invited to come and support the Fairview Falcons basketball team. Check out the January calendar for game details.

FCS Website
Check our website for hot lunch menus, game times, and other details. We try to keep it updated as much as possible for your convenience.

Parent-Teacher Conferences
You will be receiving a call from the office on January 6 or 7 to schedule your conference. We will be running these from 7:00am through 9:00pm. We would like to have all parents included in this meeting with your child’s teacher. If you have a flexible schedule and can come during the day, please take the opportunity so others’ can come in the evening. If you have a time preference please feel free to call or email the office.

Staff FeatureRosanne Steinruck
Miss Rosanne graduated from Fairview Christian School last year and returned to be a monitor in LC5 this year. We appreciate her capable assistance and willingness to serve. Here is a peek into her life beyond the daily schedule.

Christmas Program
The students are diligently preparing for the Christmas program. Invite your relatives, friends, and neighbors to hear the Christmas message through music.

Date: Friday, December 14
Time: 7:00 pm
Place: Fairview Christian School Gym

The snack bar will be open after the program.

December 21
Pastor Tony Perez will share a Christmas message with the students. Following chapel, we will have a free hot lunch for all the students. If you would like to help by bringing food, sending money for supplies, or serving the food, please contact Bambi Good by Wednesday, December 12, at 610-775-1537. The menu will be:

Potato Soup
Crackers & Cheese
Chicken Club Sandwich
Jello
Cupcake

Students will be dismissed after the meal for Christmas vacation. School will resume on Wednesday, January 2.

Let’s Show Our Appreciation!
If you would like to show your appreciation to Brother and Mrs. Fox this Christmas, you may do so by bringing in food for their freezer or pantry. Items may be brought to the office. We will give the food to them on Friday, December 21.

Staff Feature
Greetings! My name is Sara Mannhardt, from Guildford, NY. I’ve been blessed to be serving at Fairview Christian School in Learning Center 2 with Miss Witmer this year.

Prior to serving here, I had the opportunity to spend a year in Indonesia teaching English.

I enjoy ethnic foods, writing, soap making, and traveling.

I’ve really enjoyed learning to know the students and staff here at Fairview and am looking forward to the rest of the school year.

Christmas Project 2012
At Christmas time each year, the staff and students of FCS enjoy blessing the needy around us in various ways. Instead of taking up a collection at school this year, we are encouraging you to give of your resources to help those who have been devastated by the recent Superstorm Sandy. Our high school students recently had the opportunity to help with the clean-up in New Jersey. They were working under the direction of Christian Aid Ministries. We are encouraging you to visit their website and consider a donation to help them in their humanitarian efforts. You can find them at www.christianaidministries.org.
