Picture Day

Picture day is scheduled for Thursday, October 22. Students are not required to wear their uniforms that day, but clothing must reflect the standards of the school.

Kindergarten students do not usually have school on Thursday, but we are planning to have kindergarten on Thursday, October 22. We will not have class for them on Friday, October 23.

Enclosed is an order form from the photographer. Fill out a separate form for each child, along with the payment. If you have more than one child, please do not combine payments. Each order envelope should contain payment for the given child.

The photographer will need the order form and payment on picture day, so please make sure your child brings this in to school on or before October 22.

FCS Breakfast

An all-you-can-eat fundraiser breakfast is planned for Saturday, November 7, from 6:00-10:30 at the school. Costs are covered by your donations. Invite your relatives, friends, and neighbors for a delicious, fun way to start your Saturday.

You may also want to go to wfmz.com and click on the school closings link. If we have a cancellation, we will send out a One Call Now message around 6:00 am.

Trash-a-Thon

We are eagerly anticipating this event on October 21.  The students are lining up sponsors as we speak. We could still use some adult chaperones to help. All money collected can be brought to the office immediately.  We will give your child credit for his/her hard work.

Youth Group Camping Trip Report

The youth group of FMC spent the weekend of September 11-13 on our annual youth camping trip. We went to a very nice cabin in Newmanstown that was just recently renovated. We got there Friday night, settled in, and played some games. It rained pretty much all day Saturday, but we still had a good day. We got to be outside for a little on Saturday night. We went boating and swimming in the pond in spite of the rain. Ben Martin came and shared with us on Sunday morning. We then ate lunch, packed up, and headed home. Despite a few bumps and bruises, God kept us safe, and we had a great weekend.

A shout out to Arlin and Carissa and to Johnny and Natalie for making it possible! -Tiffany Fox

Thanks for praying for your preachers!  Here are a few changes from the calendar in the coming weeks. September 27 – Ted, October 4 – Ben, October 18 – Marcus, November 1 – Marcus

One may face situations beyond their reserves, but never beyond God’s resources.

September 2015 Newsletter

Communication Envelopes
At the end of each month, your newsletters, calendars, statements, and other parent correspondences will be placed in this yellow envelope and sent home with the oldest student in your family.
Please read the contents, sign and date the envelope, and return it to the office by the due date on your statement or as soon as possible. Keep the information that is inside. Your signature tells us you have the information. Feel free to use the envelope to make payments or other communications when returning to the office.
Sometimes you will receive forms in these envelopes that we want returned to the office. Please send these forms back to school no later than the given due date.
If we do not receive your envelope to reuse the next month, you will be charged $1 for a new one.

Achievement Tests
Enclosed you will find the 2014-2015 Stanford Achievement Test Results for your children.

Health Room Emergency Cards
Enclosed you will find information from the Reading School District Health Department. Please fill out a form for each child and return to the office as soon as possible. Yes, this is in addition to all you may have filled out already!!

Excuse Cards

Volleyball Games
We are looking forward to another good volleyball season. We would like to remind the parents that we are not responsible to babysit your children during this time. During away games, the school staff is not responsible for younger children who go along with their older siblings.

Box Tops
We will again be collecting Box Tops, Campbell’s soup labels, juice pouches, and ink cartridges this year. We have been very thankful for the benefits of them in the past years.

Medication
According to the regulations of the State of Pennsylvania, we cannot hand out any medications from the office. If your child is sick or not feeling well and needs a pain reliever of some form, they should come to the office. We will then contact the parent.
If your child is taking a prescription medication, that medicine, along with a doctor’s order, must be kept in the office. The nurse will come to administer it at the scheduled time.
If you have any questions, please contact the office.

PACE Charge
The PACE charge has changed to a curriculum charge. It will be the same each month. It should average close to what your PACE bill was in the past. If you have any questions regarding this change, call Mr. Marcus.

We are looking forward to meeting all the parents at our Parent-Teacher fellowship on Monday, October 5, at 7:30pm.
