January 2016 Newsletter

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. -Isaiah 1:18

Delays and Cancellations

We would like to remind you that you can find out if there is a delayed opening, early dismissal, or cancellation on WDAC (94:5 FM) or WEEU (830 AM). You can also log on to wfmz.com and click on the school closings link. We will also send out a message around 6:00 am from One Call Now.

Re-enrollment

The time to re-enroll students at FCS is fast approaching. Re-enrollment forms will be sent home at the end of January. We will need the forms returned as soon as possible. You will need to be current with your balance to re-enroll.

If you have a child entering kindergarten next fall, please call the office by January 15.

Basketball Games

Everyone is invited to come and support the Fairview Falcons basketball team. Check out the January calendar for game details.

FCS Website

Remember to check out our website for game schedules, lunch menus, and other details.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

You will be receiving a call from the office the first week of January to schedule your conference. We will be running these from 7:00 am through 4:00 pm on Monday, January 18, and from 3:15 pm through 8:30 pm on Thursday, January 21. We would like to have all parents included in this meeting with your child’s teacher. If you have a flexible schedule and can come during the day on January 18, please take the opportunity so others can come in the evening.

Trash-A-Thon

Thanks so much for all your hard work in the trash-a-thon.  We were able to raise $17,096.  This will greatly aid the student activity fund and help to keep your tuition down.  We are already looking forward to next year.  Plan to be a part of it!

Lunches

We still have Tuesdays and Thursdays in February open for lunches. If you would like to make lunches one of these days, please call the office.

Just One Request

Dear Master, for this coming year

Just one request I bring:

I do not pray for happiness,

Or any earthly thing—

I do not ask to understand

The way Thou leadest me,

But this I ask: Teach me to do

The thing that pleaseth Thee.

I want to know Thy guiding voice,

To walk with Thee each day.

Dear Master, make me swift to hear

And ready to obey.

And thus the year I now begin

A happy year will be—

If I am seeking just to do

The thing that pleaseth Thee.
