December 2020 Newsletter

Our students are excited to present to you another wonderful Christmas program.

Date: Friday, December 11

Time: 7:00 pm

Place: Fairview Christian School’s gym

Covid brings many challenges, and one of those is knowing if we should hold large events.  While some schools have moved to a virtual program, we prefer to have as “normal” a program as possible.

We do feel it wise to limit the crowd size.  Therefore, only parents, siblings, and grandparents of students will be allowed to attend in person.  Everyone else is encouraged to watch the live stream.  Tell your family and friends who are unable to come that they can watch the live stream by going to

We will have a 12:00 dismissal on Tuesday, December 22. Our regular school routine will resume Monday, January 4.

As winter weather draws near, we would like to remind you that you can find out if there is a delayed opening, early dismissal, or cancellation by going to and clicking on the school closings link. We will also send out a message around 6:00 am from One Call Now via text and phone call.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, January 18.  There will be no school that day.

If you have trouble getting your message or want to hear it again, call 877.698.3261, and follow the prompts.

If you need a number added or changed on our One Call Now list, please call the office.

We have been regularly using the One Call text option.  If you are not receiving the text messages through One Call, you can text the word “Alert” to 22300. This will opt you in to receive any text messages that we send from school.

This year’s basketball tip-off tournament will be held on Friday, December 4.  Games will be starting at 3:30. We will be playing Ephrata and hopefully a third team.

This would be a great way to order some of your Christmas gifts and help the school. You get the gift card in the amount purchased, and the school receives a percentage of the amount back. If you would like to have an order by Christmas, please return the order form or call the office by Monday, December 7.

Covid-19 and everything involved with it has also brought extra challenges financially.  We have not been able to have our annual Fall Trashathon like we did in years past.  To take the place of that, the high school students are asking for business sponsorships to cover their expenses like Regional and International Conventions, Missions Trips, etc.  Any business who gives $500 or more will be recognized on a banner in the gym.  We’ve included a few letters you can hand out to family members and businesses who may be interested in contributing to the work of FCS.  If you want your funds to benefit a specific student, please indicate that with your payment.
