September 2021 Newsletter

Yellow Envelope Correspondence

At the end of each month, your newsletters, calendars, invoices, and other parent correspondences will be placed in this yellow envelope and sent home with the oldest student in your family.

Please read the contents, sign, and date the envelope, and return the envelope to the office by the due date on your invoice or sooner. Keep the information that is inside. Your signature tells us you have the information. Feel free to use the envelope to make payments or other communications when returning to the office.

Health Room Emergency Cards

Enclosed you will find Emergency Information forms. Please fill out a form for each child and return to the office as soon as possible. Yes, we need a new one each year! This information is essential because it is what we will refer to in case of an emergency. Please help us help your student by returning these forms promptly!

Physicals

Physical forms must be turned in to the office for those entering kindergarten, 7th, and 10th grades. Thank you to everyone that turned theirs in already! If you have not taken care of this yet, please do so. Forms are available at the office. Please remember to take care of and return immunization records to the school office before September 1. This is especially important for students in kindergarten.

Absence Excuse Cards

When a student is absent, the teacher will give the student their excuse card when the student returns to school. Please fill out the card promptly and send it back with the student to give to the office.

One Call Now and Text Messages

If you need a number added or deleted, please call, or email the office.

Volleyball

The girls’ volleyball season is under way here at FCS!  The schedule is listed at two places on the school website, fairviewchristianschool.com.

You can find it under girls’ volleyball and on the calendar.  Everyone is welcome to attend the games and cheer on our Lady Falcons.  We would like to remind the parents that we are not responsible to babysit your children during home games. During away games, the school staff is not responsible for younger children who go along with their older siblings.

The Snack Bar will be open for most home games.  The proceeds help cover the cost of games and benefit the student activities fund.  We appreciate your support!

Trash-a-Thon

We are excited to announce that we will be having a Trash-a-Thon again this year on October 20.  The school will partner with the Reading Trash Authority to clean up trash on the streets of Reading.  Students can get businesses to sponsor them and donate money to the school.  It’s a great way to raise money for student activities, building maintenance, buses, etc.  For each family that raises $500 or more, their students will get a free trip to Sky Zone with the school.  More information will be coming your way soon.
