School Website/Calendar

The school website (fairviewchristianschool.com) is a great place to find a variety of school-related information!  We keep the calendar updated, and it is the best place to find information about sports, hot lunches, field trips, and events.  You can also read the newsletter on the website.

WhatsApp

We use a WhatsApp group for getting information out to the patrons throughout the school year. If you are not added to that group but would like to be, please contact us at 484-334-3992. If you do not currently use WhatsApp, we would encourage you to get that set up as it helps you to stay in the loop and not miss important details.

Tuition Notice

Enclosed you will find the first tuition invoice for the 2026-2027 school term. This invoice is due August 21. You will receive one invoice per month for ten months.  It will be due on the third Friday of each month.  Your standard bill will be the same each month. Throughout the year, there will be some additional charges for hot lunch accounts, uniforms, re-enrollment, achievement tests, field trips, student convention, etc.

Your invoice will be sent home each month in the yellow envelope and emailed to you.  You can pay by cash, check, or bank transfer.  If you do not receive emailed invoices and would like to, please contact the office.

Uniform Day

The school will be open from 9:00am – 12:00pm on Tuesday, August 4, for you to come and purchase the uniforms needed for the new school year.  We will have boys’ shirts, girls’ skorts, girls’ dresses, dress fabric, and Falcons T-shirts. You can purchase fabric if you wish to sew your own dresses.  We encourage you to come to Uniform Day to take care of your uniform arrangements.

Uniform Policy

Girls: All girls are required to wear a charcoal gray dress. We will have the dresses available for purchase on Uniform Day. We have girls’ sizes 5-14 for $35 each and adult XS-3X for $45 each. If you wish to sew your own uniform dresses, you may purchase fabric through the school for $5.50/yd.

Boys: An FCS logo polo shirt is required for all grades. The gray FCS polo shirts can be worn by boys in grades K-12.  The gray FCS dress shirt, in addition to the polos, can be worn by boys in grades 9-12. Black pants are required for all grades.

Shoe Policy
Any dress/casual shoes or sneakers may be worn.  Shoes must fully enclose the foot (no sandals).  The dominant color of the footwear must be black, white, or gray to match the school colors.

If you have not received a notice regarding busing from your school district by August 15, please call your local school district’s transportation office.  They should have a schedule for you.

Hot Lunches

The lunch plan will be the same this year as last year.  A hot lunch will be available to purchase on the days indicated on the calendar. Please check the website calendar to see what is available each day, along with the cost.  The printed monthly calendar we send home can change sometimes. If we need to make a last-minute change, we will send out a text message.

The price for a full meal will be the same as last year.  Grades K-4 = $4.00, Grades 5-12 = $5.00.

If you do not wish to send cash with your students to pay for hot lunches, they can be charged to your lunch account on Sycamore.  The balance will be added to your bill each month.

We would like to have some moms sign up to make hot lunches!  You can choose to make lunch as many or as few days as you want.  You can make a full meal, or just an entrée.  Lunch is usually purchased by 30-70 students, so you are not making lunch for the entire school. To sign up for lunches, contact Deanna Kulp who schedules them at 484-332-5360.

We will not be starting hot lunches until September 8. Please send packed lunches until that point.

Sometimes your students request cash to buy items from the snack machine to be charged on your Sycamore lunch account. We generally give them the money when they request it. Going forward, we will only allow that if your tuition balance is up to date. Please let the office know if you do not want us to do that for your students.

Attendance

Each day your child is absent, you will receive a text from the school office asking for an explanation if you have not already informed us of the reason for the absence. This will be your official response for the absence. If we don’t hear a response back from you, it will automatically be considered non-excused. Please indicate via text why your child is absent. Please make this a priority. Three or more unexcused absences in a year require us to report it to the authorities. Your help in responding to us will be greatly appreciated.

To keep better attendance records, we will now be recording students’ partial day attendance. If your students miss two half days, it will show up on their report card as one absence. We will be rounding to the nearest quarter day.

Sycamore

Each family has a portal on Sycamore where you can log in to view your students’ grades and lunch account charges. If you want to get logged into that, send a message to the office, and we will send you the link and all your log-in information. https://app.sycamoreschool.com/index.php?schoolid=\
